Low-Carb and Keto Almond Flour Recipes
Almond Flour is such a versatile ingredient for carb-conscious eating, and here are my favorite Low-Carb and Keto Almond Flour Recipes. And I like cooking with Almond Flour so much I’ve made it one of my Kalyn’s Kitchen Picks!

This recipe collection has my favorite Low-Carb and Keto Almond Flour Recipes, plus some information about Almond Flour as well! I first discovered Almond Flour when I tried Almond Flour Cheese Crackers many years ago, and since then I’ve used this versatile product in so many different ways.
That’s why I let out a little squeal of joy when I saw Kirkland Almond Flour on the shelf at Costco a few years ago! Almond flour must really be mainstream now if you can buy it at Costco, right?
Why do I love Almond Flour Recipes so much?
Using almond flour in cooking has been life-changing for me the last few years. Almond flour can really expand your cooking options if you’re trying to stick to a low-carb or Keto eating plan, and it’s great for gluten-free baking as well. I’ve used it so many different ways, and always enjoyed the nutty flavor it adds to baked goods, toppings, and ingredients where it’s used as a thickener.
Almond Flour is an ingredient that’s calorie-dense, so if you’re actively trying to lose weight, take that into consideration. But if you haven’t cooked much with almond flour yet (or you’re an Almond Flour fan looking for more options), hope you’ll enjoy trying some of my faves!
Where Can You Buy Almond Flour?
This Honeyville Blanched Almond Flour is made in Utah, close to where my brother Mark lives, so of course that’s the brand I bought for years. And now if you search Almond Flour (affiliate link) from Amazon.com, that’s one of the brands they feature.
Look for Almond Flour from Costco!
When Costco started selling almond flour it made me so happy! Having it sold in a three-pound bag at Costco makes it much more affordable, and the Costco brand is also available from Amazon.com if you don’t live near a Costco. (Keep it in the freezer if you’re buying a large bag, and it will keep for years.)
How Can You Use Almond Flour?
Almond flour can be used in place of regular flour in low-carb flourless cookies, low-carb bread, low-carb muffins, or low-carb crackers. It’s great as a coating for stuffed chicken, chicken nuggets, fish sticks, breaded pork, or fried green tomatoes. It’s used in many recipes for low-carb pizza. It can be used as a binding in meatballs, cauliflower tots, salmon patties or stuffed mushrooms. And it makes a perfect topping for Apple Crisp or other similar desserts.

Barb, darn. But love those sales at Honeyville!
Just called my Costco in Frisco, Texas. Sadly no almond flour. 🙁 I recently bought a 5 lb. bag when Honeyville had a 20% off sale recently, so I'm set for awhile, but it sure would be nice to get it cheaper at Costco.
CJ, it does take me a while to use 5 pounds, or even 3 pounds, but I love having it in the freezer!
Good to know that Costco is now carrying an almond flour product!
I don't do a ton with it year round, so I tend to buy mine in the bulk section at whole foods. the price per pound for that and other unconventional flours is generally quite reasonable, and I can buy in the quantities needed for a given recipe. I keep these kinds of things in the freezer, so it helps cut down on freezer space usage as well.
However, a 3# or 5# bag will be helpful if I'm on a baking spree!!
Letty, that just what I think too, although I'm certainly not an expert!
Thanks for letting us know it's at Costco. this is the best almond flour out there. Other almond flours don't work as well in gf/vegan cookies.
Wanda, glad it's helpful. I saw it at Costco in Bountiful, so I assume the SLC Costco will have it too.
Thanks, Kalyn, I will get this flour at Costco today. I feel much better when I do not eat gluten and I know my Christmas dinner guests will love knowing my baking is gluten free. Love the look of those delectable cheese crackers for appetizers.
Shirley I agree that for many people a 3-pound bag will last a long time. I keep mine in the freezer too and just let it come to room temperature when I want to use some. Glad you like the post!
Joanne, macarons! (Those are far beyond my baking ability level, but yum!)
I use almond flour mostly for macarons! I'l have to check out Costco for this!
I'm glad you Costco shoppers share the info on what they are carrying these days. I know many would appreciate a 3-lb bag vs a 5-lb bag. The latter is pretty intimidating for most who are new to almond flour. Will pass the info along to others. I love Honeyville almond flour. I keep one bag in the fridge and one bag in the freezer. When I move the second bag to the fridge, I order the next two bags. 😉
Thanks for the post with the info and all the links, Kalyn.
Shirley
Renie, I did say in the post that I saw it at Costco, but at my Costco it's a 3-pound bag, not five. But still a very good deal!
Costco has the best deal on this now. Less than $20 for 5 lbs.
Jeanette, wish I could try your pancakes! I bet they were good.
I use almond flour in a lot of my gluten-free baking, and Honeyville is one of the best products around. I actually had to make pancakes for 100 people recently and used this product and it consistently comes out with great results.
