I love savory dishes with sweet potatoes for an occasional splurge and here are my Favorite Healthy Sweet Potato Recipes! If sweet potatoes seem like too much of a carb indulgence for you, I do have suggestions for making many of these dishes lower in carbs!

For years I was one of those people who’d wrinkle their nose up at the mere mention of sweet potatoes (or yams as they are often mistakenly called.) Then I tried Spicy Sweet Potato Fries and had a sweet potato epiphany.
I realized that what I don’t like is those overly-sweet dishes with sweet potatoes that so many people serve for Thanksgiving. Since then I’ve experimented with savory sweet potato recipes and now sweet potatoes seem like a must-have vegetable for Thanksgiving in my family. Of course they aren’t low in carbs, so they’re a special treat for me, but here are my Favorite Healthy Sweet Potato Recipes.
And many of these recipes can be made lower in carbs by using less sweet potatoes and more of the lower-carb ingredients, so notice those tips in this post. If you like sweet potatoes enough to indulge when it’s sweet potato season, I bet some of these favorite sweet potato recipes might be fun to add to your menu for a treat.
