Top Ten New Low-Carb or Keto Recipes of 2025 from Kalyn's Kitchen

This collection has the Top Ten New Low-Carb or Keto Recipes of 2025 from Kalyn’s Kitchen. And this kind of year-end round-up is something I’ve been sharing for years and years. It’s always fun to think about the year that’s ending and remember recipes I enjoyed!

But twenty years is a long time to be creating recipes and sharing them on the internet! And my way of eating evolved over those years. So now some new recipes on the site are inspired by older recipes that were higher in carbs. When I started updating those old favorites, I learned to keep the printer-friendly version back in the archives, because someone always wanted it!

And definitely it’s gotten much harder to come up with a recipe that hasn’t already been done, but I still enjoy creating new recipes when I get an idea. If you missed some of these new or updated recipes this year, I hope you try them now!

Top Ten Low-Carb or Keto Recipes from 2025:

Crustless Spinach Quiche shown in baking dish with slices cut and plates/forks in back.

Crustless Spinach Quiche is a tasty easy breakfast that uses frozen spinach, and I bet a lot of people will like the convenience of that! We also used heavy cream and a blend of Swiss cheeses to make this extra flavorful.

Tomato Spinach Soup shown in two bowls with Parmesan cheese and spoons.

Tomato Spinach Soup is a delicious new vegetarian soup that was inspired by a soup with chickpeas. This delicious updated version has tomatoes, spinach, basil (or basil pesto), and cauliflower rice, and it’s an easy soup recipe to make on the stove.

Finished Sheet Pan Chicken Thighs and Asparagus shown on sheet pan.

Sheet Pan Chicken Thighs and Asparagus is one of those one-dish meals that are perfect to make on a week night! And lemon juice and lemon zest add amazing flavor to this chicken and asparagus meal.

Three Beef and Chorizo Tacos shown in taco holder with limes and pico de gallo in back.

Beef and Chorizo Tacos are the first recipe I’ve ever made using Chorizo, and this is fun for Taco Tuesday! I used Mr. Tortilla Low-Carb Multigrain Tortillas (affiliate link) to keep the tacos low in carbs.

Cabbage Gratin side dish shown in baking dish with salt-pepper shakers.

My site has a lot of cabbage fans, and this new recipe for Cabbage Gratin was a hit. This cheesy side dish has cabbage, mayo, lemon juice, ground thyme, Swiss cheese, and Parmesan cheese, with only 3 net carbs per serving!

Slow Cooker Turkey Stew shown in two bowls with spoons.

Slow Cooker Turkey Stew is an older recipe I loved so much I had to make a lower-carb version! The new stew with Asian flavors has ground turkey, sweet potato, red pepper, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, chili garlic sauce and coconut milk. And the updated version uses less sweet potato and more red pepper to make it lower in carbs.

Nicoise Tuna Salad Recipe shown with salad arranged on platter and dressing in back.

In May I spent nearly two weeks in France with some good friends, and this Nicoise Tuna Salad Recipe is my version of a favorite salad I enjoyed there! And you can imagine how happy I was when I discovered this famous French tuna salad doesn’t always have potatoes.

Italian Sausage Zucchini Soup shown in two bowls with optional Parmesan Cheese.

Italian Sausage Zucchini Soup is an updated version of a recipe that originally had zucchini noodles. We bumped up the spices just slightly and made the soup with small pieces of zucchini, and Kara and I both loved this new-and-improved soup when we were testing it!

Roasted Pepper Salad shown in salad bowl with salt-pepper shakers in back.

Roasted Pepper Salad is a fun new salad I came up with when bell peppers were on sale, and this tasty salad has colorful roasted peppers, green onions, garlic, olives, fresh basil, Feta and a lemony dressing!

Tofu Mushroom Stir Fry shown in wok.

And this Tofu Mushroom Stir Fry is a vegetarian recipe I updated to make lower in carbs by switching Hoisin Sauce for Sugar-Free Apricot Preserves (affiliate link), We also slightly increased the sesame oil to keep the  umami flavor notes that were in the original version.
