PIN Kalyn’s Herb Blend Recipe to try it later!
This recipe for Kalyn’s Herb Blend is something I started making about years ago, inspired by the recipe for American Heart Association Herb Seasoning, a great salt-free seasoning blend. I make this a little differently every time now, depending on what I have on hand and what new herbs I’ve become fond of.
And this flavorful blend of dried herbs is something I’ve been giving away for Christmas for years, and I’ve had people use it all and ask if they can buy more! Of course I don’t sell it, but you can make your own with this easy herb blend recipe.
This is a good all purpose seasoning blend to give to people who cook a little, but who aren’t likely to have a cupboard full of different herbs and spices. This recipe is my latest version; I hope you will enjoy trying it and maybe even making some to give away.

From having made this for years, I’d say the essentials in this blend are garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, parsley, oregano, basil, and pepper. You can add or subtract other herbs as desired. Create your own blend based on your favorites, and then name it after yourself and give it away for Christmas; I promise your friends will be very impressed.
