Weekend Herb Blogging #4 and the Second Herb of Simon and Garfunkel’s Famous Four
They have certainly done their part to bring herbs into mainstream awareness, so this week to introduce my entry for Weekend Herb Blogging, I’m giving you Simon and Garfunkel. I must confess (at the risk of showing my age here) that when I first heard “parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme” glorified in song, I had probably never used them in cooking. As the years have passed and I’ve gotten more and more obsessed with cooking, I have come to love them all. Last week I brought you sage for Weekend Herb Blogging, and this week I am happy to present one of my very favorite herbs, rosemary.
It’s a bit of a rainy day in Salt Lake City, so the glistening you see on the rosemary leaves is water from rain that sprinkled down early this morning. Luckily the rain stopped long enough for me to get a few shots of the garden. I know those shots are going to be fewer and fewer as winter settles in, but today the rosemary was looking wonderful.
Happy herb cooking (and blogging)!
