Why I Love Joseph’s Bakery Low-Carb Pita Bread
Joseph’s Bakery Pita bread has a new name, so I’m reminding you again Why I Love Joseph’s Bakery Low-Carb Pita Bread! And this is a product I’ve loved from the very first time I tried it!
PIN the post about Joseph’s Bakery Low-Carb Pita Bread to find it later!

In 2005 I visited Rhode Island, and discovered a low-carb pita bread that was made with healthy ingredients and so delicious that I wrote about Joseph’s Bakery Low-Carb Pita Bread on my new food blog. I brought some pita bread home with me, but I didn’t ever find it in Utah. And I might have forgotten about it, but fans of the pita bread kept leaving comments asking where they could get this relatively low-carb pita bread! I kept checking, but for years there was nowhere to order it online.
A few years later my friend Lydia sent me some of the low-carb pita bread, which was her own favorite as well. Then someone left a comment letting me know the Joseph’s Bakery products were soon going to be available online. And then I discovered I could buy Joseph’s Low-Carb Pita Bread at Amazon.com (affiliate link). Since then I’ve been buying a three-pack from Amazon every few months and keeping them in the freezer. And now I hear occasionally from a reader who finds this pita in a store. And I still love Joseph’s Pita Bread that’s delicious, nutritious, high in protein and fiber, low in fat, and quite low in net carbs!
How I’ve used Joseph’s Low-Carb Pita Bread?
When it’s Thanksgiving weekend, for sure I’ll be making these Pita Bread Turkey Sandwiches with Cranberry Salsa. And I do use this pita regularly to scoop up things like Greek Dip with Tomatoes and Feta or to make a quick lunch like Egg Salad Pita with Green Olives. But I have some many ideas for using this tasty pita I had to put them in a separate post! Check out my Favorite Recipes with Low-Carb Pita Bread as well of lots of ideas for tasty things to scoop up with pita or stuff inside pita.
How Low in Carbs is Joseph’s Pita Bread:
The regular size pita has 12 carbs in a whole pita, but 6 grams of fiber for only 6 net carbs. Each whole pita also has 6 grams of protein, with zero grams of sugar and only one gram of fat. Of course this pita bread isn’t Keto or gluten-free, but for anyone who’s following a or low-carb or carb-conscious eating plan, I think Joseph’s Bakery Pita Bread is pretty perfect to stuff with something healthy and eat occasionally for a quick meal.
About Kalynโs Kitchen Picks:
I purchased the Joseph’s Flax, Oat Bran, and Whole Wheat Pitas (affiliate link) myself at Amazon.com and although Joseph once left a comment on the blog years ago, this company has no idea that Iโm writing about their product now. All items featured here as my picks are things I’d happily buy over and over, and because I want readers to know that my opinions are completely unbiased, I donโt accept review products from the many companies who offer to send them to me. You can see my other kitchen and food picks at the page for Kalynโs Kitchen Picks.

I have been buying Josephโs at Walmart, Winco & Sprouts for several years.
Will have to check at Sprouts, thanks!
I’m boycotting Amazon but have been able to find Joseph’s pita at my local Safeway.
Lucky for you. So far I haven’t found it anywhere near me.
