I’ve tried all kinds of stevia packets, and this is the only one I’ve been able to stick with.
This post has been a long time coming. I think it was about 2006 that I was talking online with Karina and Susan about Stevia, trying to find a brand that would make me give up the little blue packets that I was pretty much addicted to in those days. Through the years since then I’ve tried all different kinds of Stevia, and even recommended Stevia in the Raw Granulated Sweetener, which I love for baking. This organic Stevia from Wholesome Sweeteners is the first kind of Stevia packets I’ve ever bought a second time, which I think is a pretty high recommendation!
It’s a little ironic too, because while I don’t accept sample products from the many companies who write and offer them to me, I first got this product as a sample at BlogHerFood in Seattle, where it was being given away to conference attendees. If I hadn’t been on the quest to find a good-tasting Stevia product for drinks I wouldn’t have picked it up, but I’m glad that I did.
In Utah I buy this at Sunflower Market, but I’m guessing most natural foods stores will have it. I probably won’t ever give up my one-a-day Diet Coke, so I’m not becoming one of those people who are completely anti artificial sweeteners, but if you’d like to try a natural sweetener for drinks I do recommend this product! (And I do have to add, I firmly believe people should be allowed to make their own food choices, so if you’re campaigning against artificial sweeteners, please do that on your own blog. Those kinds of comments won’t be published here.)
Although I first tried this product as a sample at a food conference, I purchased this Wholesome Sweeteners Organic Stevia myself and the company has no idea that I’m writing about their product. All items featured as Kalyn’s Kitchen Picks are things I will happily buy over and over, and because I want readers to know that my opinions are completely unbiased, I don’t accept review products from the many companies who offer to send them to me. You can see the complete list of products I’ve chosen under the tab Kalyn’s Picks below the blog header.
