Weekend Herb Blogging Recaps: Weeks #1 – #52
Weekend Herb Blogging is a food blogging event sponsored by Kalyn’s Kitchen that started when I joked to Cate of Sweetnicks that I didn’t have a dog or a cat, and could I share a photo of my plants? Much to my surprise, the idea caught on. Now every weekend, food bloggers around the world photograph and write about herbs, plants, veggies, or flowers, and we publish a recap with links to all the posts. Not only are these recaps fun to read, but you can learn a lot about herbs and plants around the world. This is my storage spot where all the Sunday recaps are archived.
For 33 weeks, I wrote the Weekend Herb Blogging Recap myself and posted it on Kalyn’s Kitchen. Even though I loved Weekend Herb Blogging, it was turning into a major commitment every weekend. My brother Rand was the one who suggested that some of the regular participants might like to take a stab at hosting the event once in a while, and the idea of turning it into a traveling event was born. Now I post the recap on the first Weekend of each month, and all the other weeks food bloggers from all over the world take turns hosting.
If you’d like to host some weekend, send an e-mail to kalynskitchen AT comcast DOT net. The recap is published either on Sunday night or Monday, depending on the preference of that week’s host.
All food bloggers are invited to participate in this event. Here are the offical rules for Weekend Herb Blogging. Check Who’s Hosting Weekend Herb Blogging to see who the host is each week, link your post to that blog with the words Weekend Herb Blogging, then send the link by 3:00 on Sunday afternoon, Utah time, and we will include you in the recap of people around the world who are writing about herbs, plants, veggies, and flowers.

Diane, there is not a featured herb every week. Each participant is free to write about any herb, plant, vegetable or flower, so there is no way to give that information without sending you to the recap.
It would be nice if the archive links had more information (like the featured herb) so I could find what I’m looking for. Just a thought. Love the site!!!
