Kalyn’s Kitchen Picks: Good Foods Tableside Chunky Guacamole Single-Serve Cups

Good Foods Tableside Chunky Guacamole
These single-serving containers of Good Foods Tableside Chunky Guacamole are great for a snack.

I saw this Good Foods Tableside Chunky Guacamole three or four times at Costco before I ever picked it up and looked at the nutritional information.  But once I bought a package and took it home, I quickly fell in love with these little single-serving tubs of guacamole that are perfect for a snack or when you’re making a recipe that could benefit from just a dollop of guacamole.   Of course, there’s nothing like homemade guacamole, and I love my recipe for Cilantro-Lover’s Perfect Guacamole with Red Onions, Lime, and Chiles.  But this is amazingly good for pre-made guacamole, and I love the convenience and staying power in the fridge.   And since it’s only 80 calories and has built in portion control, this is a product I’m happy to recommend as one of my Kalyn’s Kitchen Picks.

I eat this most often as a snack with veggies like red pepper strips, thinly sliced jicama, or occasionally with Beanitos chips made from beans.  But it’s also handy to use in recipes that call for guacamole, and here are a few ideas for diet-friendly ways to eat it.
Easy Guacamole Tostadas are great for a meatless meal, and one container of this guacamole would be just enough to make a tostada.
One container is enough to add a dollop of guacamole to two of these Spicy Black Bean Patties with Cilantro, Guacamole, and Tomatoes.

You could use this to make Turkey and Guacamole Quesadillas, and one container would be perfect for a quesadilla.

One container would be just enough to make this Southwestern Omelet with Easy Guacamole and Salsa.

Or break out the CrockPot and use this for the guacamole on these Slow Cooker Sriracha Chicken Sandwiches with Easy Guacamole.

Have you ever tried this individual-serving cups of guacamole goodness?  Let us know in the comments how you like it, and if you have other diet-friendly ways of using this.

  3. Where can I get the Tableside Chunky Guacamole. I am in love!!??

  4. Becca, I honestly don't know but the phase one guideline for dried beans is 1/3 to 1/2 cup serving size of cooked beans, so I'd gauge it from that.

  5. How many of those Beanitos chips are a SBD serving to be eaten with that guac? So i dont go overboard…

  6. Barb, that's my favorite one as well. And a few of those chips and one of these little cups of guacamole feels like a real treat!

  7. I found the guacamole a couple of months ago at my Costco and I love it….perfect snack size. Kalyn I'm a big fan of Beanito chips also. I actually found them several years ago while visiting my son in Austin, Tx where they had just started selling them. My favorite one is the restaurant style chip made with white beans.

  8. Cheri, for me this is just the perfect amount for a snack, or for a dollop to add to something.

  9. I've never tried it before, only the one at Trader Joe's. I like the fact that it is in small portions as we always end up throwing left overs away. Thanks for sharing.
