25 Deliciously Healthy Low-Carb Recipes from October 2014
It’s time for another round-up of Deliciously Healthy Low-Carb Recipes I spotted in the past month! Use the Diet-Type Index to find more recipes like these.
I don’t know about you, but I’m more than a little bit excited that the calendar has flipped over to November. It’s mostly because I love, love, love Thanksgiving, and for the second year in a row I’m hosting Thanksgiving dinner at my new house. Nothing makes me happier than to be able to have my family come to my house for my favorite holiday of the year.
On the blog I’ve already started sharing a few Carb-Conscious Thanksgiving Recipes
and there’ll be plenty more to come during November. But if you’re anything like me, you’re eating carefully for the first few weeks of November so you can indulge a little more when Thanksgiving Day gets here, right? I hope this round-up of the 25 Deliciously Healthy Low-Carb Recipes
I spotted during October can help with that. And this is the fifth monthly round-up now with the new expanded format
, and I’m loving the chance to switch it up a bit, plus it’s helped me find quite a few new-to-me blogs that have lower-carb recipes.
Goat Cheese Steak with Balsamic Glaze from Rachel Cooks, guest post from Karen from The Food Charlatan. (Low-Carb, Gluten-Free, South Beach Phase One)
Thai Brussels Sprouts
from Mountain Mama Cooks. (Check label to get Thai Chili Paste with minimal or no sugar. With that caution, this can be Low-Carb, Gluten-Free, South Beach Phase One, Paleo, Whole 30.)
Skillet Burgers with Tomato Gravy
from Kitchen Parade. (I would omit the 1 teaspoon of sugar in the tomato gravy. If you did that, this recipe would be Low-Carb, Gluten-Free, South Beach Phase One, Paleo, Whole 30)
Chicken in a Creamy Parmesan and Sun-Dried Tomato Sauce
from Closet Cooking. (Use the option of chicken stock instead of wine to make this low-carb. The recipe uses heavy cream which isn’t permitted for South Beach Diet, but I’d eat this for an occasional treat. It’s Low-Carb and Gluten-Free)
Longhorn Steakhouse Mushroom Truffle Bisque
from CopyKat Recipes. (This recipe has some butter and heavy cream which isn’t really permitted for South Beach, but I would eat it for an occasional treat. The recipe is Low-Carb, Gluten-Free.)
Oven Baked Crispy Chicken
from Barefeet in the Kitchen. (Low-Carb, Gluten-Free, Paleo, Whole 30. South Beach recommends chicken breasts without the skin, but I’d eat this occasionally for a treat.)
That’s the rundown of the Deliciously Healthy Low-Carb Recipes I spotted in October, and now I’d like to know what was the best low-carb meal you cooked or ate last month? Let us know in the comments, and if you’re a blogger, recipe links are welcome.
